Parkpop – Staff Benda Bilili

Gister naar Parkpop geweest en het was super cool. Nou ja, cool…de zon scheen fel, terwijl het ‘s morgens nog regende, dus al met al heerste er een tropisch temperatuurtje. Perfect festivalweer. De sfeer was heel gezellig. De muziek was echt super goed. Dus ik heb het wel naar m’n zin gehad. Om jullie niet in één keer te overspoelen met foto’s, plaats ik vanaf nu elke dag een band.

Yesterday I went to Parkpop and it was so cool. Wel, cool….the sun was shining very bright, while in the morning it was raining, so altogether it became a tropical temperature. Perfect weather for a festival. The mood was good. The music was super good. So I did enjoy myself. In order not to overwhelm you with photos, I post a band a day starting now.

Staff Benda Bilili is een Congolese groep straatmuzikanten met een beperking. Niet dat die beperking ze ervan weerhoudt een feestje te bouwen. Dansen, zingen… en dat allemaal in een heerlijke mengelmoes van reggae, rumba, funk en soukous. Klik op de afbeelding hieronder om een stukje Staff Benda Bilili te zien en horen.

Staff Benda Bilili is a Congolesian group of streetmusicians with a disability. Not that these disabilities keep them from having a party.
