KadeRock 2009

Het kleine grote festival van Den Haag, waar ooit artiesten schitterden als Kane, Di-rect, Hans Dulfer, Cesar Zuiderwijk en vorig jaar nog Wouter Hamel en band.
Niet alleen Hollands glorie. Ook uit het buitenland vandaan komen bekende artiesten een show geven.
Dit jaar was de knaller, tevens sluiter, van de avond Fishbone uit Amerika. Helemaal te gek en het publiek was niet de enige die uit haar dak ging. Wat kunnen die gasten van Fishbone feesten zeg! Van acrobatiek op het podium tot crowd-surfen toe!
Cesar Zuiderwijk in het echt te zien en horen spelen is en blijft toch een groot plezier. Wat kan die man drummen! En tijdens ingewikkelde drumsolo's nog doodleuk zijn collega drummer met drumstokken bekogelen... (zie laatste foto bij Cesar Zuiderwijk en The Clarks...)
De punk-rock van Two Way Radio klonk verrassend goed en de sportschool konden de dames die dag wel overlaan.
The Madd....wat een maddness... Zijn ze nét begonnen aan hun eerste nummer, ligt de bassist ineens plat op het podium. Grote schrik en het concert werd afgeblazen. Kortsluiting in zijn gitaar zorgde voor 220 Volt stroom door zijn lijf. Tja...dan ga je wel even plat. Maar hij liet zich niet zomaar uit het veld slaan en dus kwam na ongeveer een kwartiertje de verrassende mededeling dat het concert tóch door ging. Way to go! En toen hij zijn charmante glimlach rijkelijk uitdeelde aan een groepje tienermeisjes vlak voor het podium, gingen zij bijna plat!

This year the fireworks and final came from the American group Fishbone. It was awesome and the audience wasn't the only one going insane! Those guys sure know how to make a party! Form acrobatics on the stage to crowd-surfing.
Seeing and hearing Cesar Zuiderwijk play always is a pleasure. This man drums like noone can! While giving a difficult drum solo, he even manages to throw a whole lot of sticks onto his college-drummers head (see last picture at Cesar Zuiderwijk en The Clarks...)
The punk-rock of Two Way Radio Sounded surprisingly good. The ladies could skip their fitness-class for that day.
The Madd...what a maddness. They just started their first song and all of a sudden their bass-player layed stretched out on the floor! Big shock and the concert was blown off. Short circuit in his guitar gave him a 220 V. shock. That sure puts you down. He didn't give in without a fight and so in about 15 minutes the announcement came: the concert was on!!! Way to go! And when he threw a charming smile to a group teenage-girls near the stage, they almost layed down on the floor!
