My Prize & Some More Eye Candy :)

Twee weken geleden maakte ik deze layout over de lente en zond 'm in voor een wedstrijd op het SA Forum. Tot mijn grote verrassing, hebben de meeste mensen op deze layout gestemd en werd ik tot winnaar van de wedstrijd gekozen. De Scrap-o-theek was de sponsor en maakte me super blij met dit prijzenpakket:

Naast deze prijs, heb ik nog meer leuke, nieuwe spullen aan mijn steeds groter groeiende voorraad toegevoegd, want afgelopen weekend was ook weer het Crea Weekend in Rijswijk. Sommige van jullie zijn er dol op om zich aan de nieuwe spullen van anderen te verlekkeren, dus ik zal die mensen niet teleurstellen. Bovendien vind ik het natuurlijk maar wat leuk om met al dat moois te pronken!

Besides this prize, I've got even more nice, new stuff added to my ever growing stash, because last weekend there was a creativity fair again. Some of you are fond of getting tasty by looking at what others bought new, so I won't disappoint those people. Besides, I love to show all my new goodies of course!

Geheel onverwacht stond ik zaterdag even workshops te geven bij Love Scrapping. Het was zo druk met belangstelling voor de nieuwe Color Soft producten, dat ik graag mijn hulp aanbood. Het zijn dan ook zulke gave producten. Persoonlijk ben ik helemaal gevallen voor de Paper Color Soft, een goedje waarmee je heel mooi je papier een kleurtje kan geven, maar je kunt het ook gebruiken als stempelinkt en er zijn ongetwijfeld nog tig andere mogelijkheden. Binnenkort zal ik wel wat werkstukjes laten zien. Dat kan haast niet anders ;)

Completely unexpected I was helping teaching classes Saturday at Love Scrapping. There was so much interest in the new Color Soft products, so I was happy to offer my help. They are such great products. I personally have completely fallen for the Paper Color Soft, some stuff you can use to colour your papers with, but you can also use it as stampingink and I'm pretty sure there must be quite a lot of other things you can use it for. Soon I will show you some projects done with it. It would be hard not to show ;)

Crea Weekend Rijswijk part 2

Er was nog meer ;) Had ik zaterdag al schandalig veel nieuwe spullen gekocht, er was ook nog een zondag. En opnieuw ben ik naar de creabeurs geweest. Bij Scrapfever heb ik een workshop(je) gevolgd, waar ik deze kaart heb gemaakt:

En ja, waarom ook niet. Dan toch nog maar een paar leuke dingetjes meegenomen ook. De techniek van de kaart was toch echt wel leuk genoeg om thuis nog eens over te doen, dus een velletje stickers moest mee en dan ook maar meteen een paar andere figuren daarbij. En die randpons, daar heb ik nog om gevochten! (grapje, maar er was wel een kaper op de kust). Utee, tja...toch aardig om eens te kijken of dit handiger is dan gewone clear embossingpoeder. En die gluepad maakt dat ik dezelfde techniek van de kaarten ook kan combineren met m'n stempels.

O yes, and why not. Eventually I took some nice things with me too. The technique of the card was nice enough to try at home, so a sheet of stickers had to be bought and then I could take another couple of sheets with different images just as well. The borderpunch, I have fough for that one! (just kidding, though there was another possible buyer). Utee, well...it's nice to try if this works better than normal clear embossingpowder. And the gluepad makes it possible to combine the technique of the card with my stamps.

O, nu zou ik bijna nog het schattige vogelhuisje vergeten, dat ik bij Love Scrapping heb gekocht!

Was super gezellig en jawel, er was forum-contact. Leuk jullie in het echie ontmoet te hebben nu!
Niet alles is even duidelijk te zien, dus ik zal even vertellen wat m'n aankopen zijn: Sassafras Lass - Bungle Jungle de complete kit; 3 vellen van het nieuwe Doodlebug papier; een nieuwe voorraad wit cardstock; Jenny Bowling tickets; stempels van: Imaginisce, Inkadinkado en EK; een schuurpadje; zilveren veiligheidspeldjes; super leuke bedeltjes; en dat nijlpaard dat is een ecoshape die ik mooi ga maken met Decopatch.
Just teasing you by showing all these "yummies". Bought today on the "Creaweekend". That's a big indoor market with only creative stands. It was big fun and even met some people from internet in real life. That was so nice!

Scrapfrummels en een cadeautje

Afgelopen zaterdag was het Scrapfestival bij Pipoos. Uiteindelijk toch een make&take meegedaan. Het is geen kaart, maar een soort 'verpakking' waar je bijvoorbeeld een geurzakje tussen kan doen. Erg leuk om te maken. Daar gaan er vast nog meer van volgen. En met meer tegelijk scrappen is en blijft zo ontzettend leuk!
Saturday last it was Scrapfestival at Pipoos, a national craftstore (pipoos is after "pipo the clown" who used to be very famous when I was a child...the store still carries a clown image in their logo). At the end of the day I decided to join a make&take. It's not a card, but some kind of 'box' where you can put something like a scent bag in between. Lovely to create. There will probably follow more of these. And scrapping with more than just one people is always so much more fun!

Deze was voor 2 Sketches 4 You, maar toen ik 'm eindelijk af had, was het al zo laat dat m'n ogen haast dicht vielen. Ik kon het niet meer opbrengen om nog een foto te maken en deze op mijn blog te plaatsen. Helaas paashaas! Toch was het wél een heel leuke sketch om mee te werken en ik móest mijn nieuwe aankopen van die middag bij Pipoos natuurlijk ook meteen gebruiken. Wat een heerlijke lijn is dit zeg! De tekst heb ik in PSP gemaakt en op een clear sheet geprint (die met één ruwe zijde). Daarna vastgemaakt met die oude trouwe Velpon. Wat heerlijk dat dit nog steeds bestaat!
This one was for 2 Sketches 4 You, but when I finally had it finished, it was already so late that I hardly kept my eyes open. I couldn't find the strength to take a picture and put it on my blog. Too bad sandwichspread! But it wás a great skech to work with and I just hád to use the new paper I bought that very afternoon at this craftstore. What a lovely line this is! The text I created on the comp using PSP and I printed it on a clear sheet (the ones with one rough side). I adhered it with good old Velpon, my favorite glue since the very first day I started using 'real' glue (in stead of the kindergarden stuff). I'm so delighted it still exists!

En dit is het kaartje waarvan ik dácht dat het voor Card Patterns was, maar tijdens het werken bedacht ik me dat het toch wel verdacht veel leek op de sketch die ik voor het koetje gebruikt had (DDCC-Sorry I Forgot....) Dat krijg je als je nog in de late uurtjes zit te werken, dan maak je domme fouten. Het wás natuurlijk ook dezelfde sketch die ik zat te gebruiken in plaats van de werkelijke sketch van Card Patterns. Hoe dom kan je zijn :P En hij is nog niet eens naar tevredenheid ook! Achteraf had ik er beter meer kleurcontrasten in kunnen gebruiken. Even het één en ander matten. Nou ja, al doende leert men. En ook van je fouten kun je leren :o)
And this is the card from which I thóught it was for Card Patterns, but while working on it I realised the sketch looked pretty much the same as the one I used for the little cow (DDCC-Sorry I Forgot...) This is what happens when you work in the late hours, you end up making stupid mistakes. Of course it wás the same sketch I was using in stead of the real sketch from Card Patterns. How foolish can one be :P And I don't even like this one! Now I see I should have used a little more contrasting colors. Just matting a little here and there... Ah well, practice makes perfect right? And one can also learn from mistakes :o)

Als laatste nog een cadeautje wat ik een tijdje terug van iemand kreeg. Het was lastig om het goed op de foto te krijgen, maar het is een glas dat ze zelf gegraveerd heeft. De afbeelding is "Owl" van Winnie the Pooh.

Presentje

Gister lag er een grote verrassing in de brievenbus. Hanneke had me een heel pretpakket toegestuurd. Ik ben er zo blij mee dat ik dit leuke nieuws echt met iedereen wil delen. Niet alleen ontving ik super mooie scrapspullen, maar ik ben nu ook de trotse eigenaar van een echte originele "Hanneke", want er zat ook een onwijs mooi Hanneke-kaartje bij. Nieuwsgierig naar de geweldige dingen die Hanneke nog meer maakt? Surf dan meteen naar haar blog....

Yesterday I found a huge surprise in my mailbox. Hanneke sent a wonderful "happy&joy" envelope. I am so very happy with this present and the whole world may know about that! Not only I received the beautiful scrapstuff, but now I am the proud owner of a real and original "Hanneke", because she included a gorgeous Hanneke-card as well.
